In the beginning…

Well, this is it – I’ve finally become so lazy that actually taking the time to update the RTFM website directly has become an impossibility. Alright, so any of you who know me realize that the last statement is as far from the truth as possible – the reality is that I have my fingers in so many pies that I’ve decided having access to a blog where I can quickly and easily pass on updates, bits of news and other relevant info for the indie musician is going to be the best use of my time.

And this is it.

For anyone not familiar with RTFM Records – it’s the brainchild of Artemis and I, a collective of indie artists sharing info, experience and opinions on all aspects of being in the music biz. The label itself is a labor of love – no one is making mega-bucks or even mini-bucks (micro-bucks, on the other hand, are had here an there…!). We promote success in any way you want to define it – whether it’s monetary or otherwise. Actually what we promote is being successful without giving up your artistry and your artistic scruples. Oh, AND the rights to do with your music whatever you want, unbeholden to some corporate entity that may not have your best interests in mind.

We’ll rail against the unjust, turn you onto the innovators and go off on tangents as the mood strikes.
